Standing Tall Foundation

Voluntary Technology Advisor

A St Helens-based charity founded in March 2020 by Andy Reid MBE & John Tabern, supporting people facing homelessness, mental health challenges, and job loss. I serve as the go-to authority for all technology matters, providing guidance and helping implement Modern Work practices across the Foundation.

  • Secured Microsoft Non-Profit Licensing, granting access to Microsoft 365 and Azure at no cost
  • Established a secure and robust technology platform for the Foundation's operations
  • Awarded the Tech & Design award at the Foundation's annual Gala in 2022

Cannington Shaw — No 7 Bottle Shop

Voluntary Technology & Marketing Advisor

A heritage regeneration project to restore and repurpose the No. 7 Bottle Shop — one of the first successful regenerative furnaces in the world — as part of the £25 million St Helens Town Investment Plan. Run by the Cannington Shaw Preservation Trust CIC in partnership with St Helens Borough Council and Historic England.

  • Advising on technology and marketing for the heritage project since 2023
  • Supporting plans for a living museum, Heritage Skills Academy, and community events space

Voluntary Mentor for refugees finding a career in the UK

A programme supporting refugees in the UK to find meaningful careers. I provide mentorship, guidance, and support to help refugees navigate the job market and develop their professional skills.
